Emcee Pat Parnell of FUEL TV 
 

Our dynamic emcee of the evening is Pat Parnell, the television personality and action sports commentator who is the host of “The Daily Habit,” FUEL TV’s signature daily half-hour show highlighting top athletes and charismatic entertainers together on his LA-based set.  Guests have included Kelly Slater to Shaun White and Tony Hawk, as well as top celebrities, comedians and musical performers like Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance and Cake.  Parnell has hosted numerous FUEL TV specials, including the annual Surfer Poll Awards, the action sports film festival X-Dance, and “SurferMagazine TV.” His commentating assignments have included the ASP World Championship Tour, Vans Triple Crown, ESPN’s X Games and more.  He has also done extensive play-by-play commentating for snowboarding and other sports for NBC and their coverage of five Summer & Winter Olympic Games (2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010). 



 
Auctioneer CK Swett  
 

CK Swett, a California native and Duke University graduate, began his career in the art auction world at Christie's in 2006. He joined Phillips de Pury & Company in June 2011, where, amongst many pursuits, he now serves as an auctioneer. He conducted his first charity auction last fall, and since then has raised over $1 million for more than 20 charitable foundations with causes ranging from children in Malawi and veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan to public schools in Manhattan and the American Cancer Society. Sumba Foundation Short Film Screening
 
Event guests will be treated to director Aaron Krummel's newest short film on The Sumba Foundation and its latest accomplishments. Aaron is currently Director of Photographer for “The Glee Project" TV series. For the past 10 years, Aaron Krummel has been an award-winning director, director of photography, producer and editor in television and film production.  A recipient of several Emmy Awards for his documentaries, he has been praised for projects shot in Africa, which examine AIDS, socialism, and Islamic culture.  He also recently completed unique project on global warming in the Arctic with Richard Branson.  Along the way, he has produced, shot, and edited numerous Fox television news programs and other high profile TV shows, including LA Ink, Entourage, 30 Rock and CSI.

designed for the Sumba Foundation by acclaimed Paris-based jewelry designer, Lorenz Bäumer, whose Place Vendôme showrooms are the vibrant focal point of Parisian jewelry elegance.  Considered one of the most talented jewelers of his generation, Lorenz has collaborated with Cartier, Gucci, Guerlain, Hermès, Omega, Dinh Van, Breguet and Chanel, among others.   His jewels have been shown at the Legion of Honour in San Francisco and the Museum of Natural History in Paris, and he has been awarded the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres by the French Government for his extraordinary jewelry.  Today, in addition to creating for his namesake firm, he is the Artistic Director of Fine Jewelry for Louis Vuitton.
